Slay was foaled April 12, 2019, at Apple Creek, Ohio and had a prolific career,
racing from ages two through four, and amassing eight wins, four seconds, and seven thirds in 35 lifetime starts.
As a 2-year-old, Slay recorded a mark of 1:52.4 in the $71,000 Bluegrass Stakes at Lexington's Red Mile.
At age 3, he captured the $455,100 Canadian Trotting Derby in 1:52.1 at Woodbine; the $125,000 Stanley Dancer Memorial at The Meadowlands in 1:51; the $119,800 New York Sires Stakes Final at Batavia in 1:55.4 and several New York Sires Stakes legs at Vernon Downs and at Saratoga Raceway. As a 4-year-old he scored a 1:54.2 triumph in a $21,000 Yonkers overnight.
Slay arrived at Dublin Valley Farm in March of 2024 and still bred well over 100 mares his first season at stud.
